Air Mauritius supports Jane Constance for Unesco missions

The Air Mauritius Leadership Team met singer Jane Constance and her parents last 23 November at its Headquarters in Port Louis.

During the meeting, Air Mauritius pledged support to the iconic Mauritian singer and role model through a long term collaboration with the national airline. This involves the provision of air tickets for her Unesco official duties. Jane Constance will promote the role of Air Mauritius as an important enabler for her ambassadorial duties during her various speeches and interventions.

We see it as our utmost duty to support Jane Constance, who was named Unesco Artist for Peace in September 2017, in recognition of her commitment to promoting the rights of persons with disabilities and their inclusion in today’s society” said Air Mauritius Chairman, Dr Arjoon Suddhoo, FRAeS.

The Air Mauritius CEO Somas Appavou, commended Jane Constance on her unmatched talent and dedication. “Jane Constance is an icon for today’s youth. Jane’s commitment to society’s most vulnerable deserves our utmost backing and encouragement. I am confident that she will use her inspiration and charisma to promote UNESCO’s message and programmes across the globe”.
