News from the sky: Jet Airways, Hop! Delta Air Lines, Cabo Verde Airlines, Emirates, Qantas, easyJet, etc.


A few days ago, HOP! presented its new intermodal transport offer proposed in Lyon-Saint Exupéry, in partnership with Ouibus. For the first time in France, two companies are connecting their lines to offer a multimodal airplane + road offer. HOP! airline customers have the option of booking their travel from start to finish, integrating a city/airport/city roadmap, operated by Ouibus buses, into their flights. In total, more than 4,400 HOP!+Ouibus trips are offered per week. Six cities are connected by Ouibus to the HOP! air network via Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport from December 2018: Grenoble, Saint-Etienne, Saint-Chamond, Chambéry, Aix-les-Bains and Vienne.

With Delta Air Lines and the early resumption of its Nice-New York non-stop flights in 2019, spring escapades into Big Apple are now within reach. The airline’s seasonal service will start on 31 March 2019 with five flights per week, earlier than in 2018 and just in time for school holidays, with daily flights starting on 17 April. Delta has assigned a 245-seat Boeing 767-400 for these flights, which will be operated in conjunction with Delta’s partners Air France, KLM and Alitalia.
Delta and Air France will also offer additional flights in June, during the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Flights will operate from New York-JFK on June 14, 15, 16, 16, 20 and 21, with flights leaving the Côte d’Azur on June 15, 16, 20, 21 and 22.

Cabo Verde Airlines is continuing its development, with the opening of a new route this winter between the African and European continents. From 12 December, the company will offer 1 flight per week between Paris and Dakar, with a connection to SAL, the hub of Cabo Verde Airlines in Cape Verde. The flights will be operated by Boeing B757 aircraft equipped with 160 seats in Economy Class and 22 seats in Comfort Class.
In addition, passengers will be able to benefit from the Cabo Verde Stopover program, which will allow them to stop for up to 7 days to discover the Cape Verde Islands, at no extra cost.

From December 2018, Jet Airways will strengthen its network by adding 18 additional frequencies on domestic and international flights to meet growing passenger demand.
Following the announcement of the launch of the direct flight between Bombay and Manchester, Jet Airways will consolidate its service to Singapore as of December 1 with the introduction of a direct flight from Pune, bringing the number of international destinations from the Indian metropolis to two. This new service will complement the flights currently operated by the company from Bombay, Delhi and Benhaluru to Singapore. From the beginning of next December, Jet Airways will also add new frequencies to key destinations such as Bangkok, Kathmandu and Singapore. The airline does not stop there and will soon add a third daily frequency from New Delhi to Bangkok and Singapore. In addition to the flights already operated between Bombay and Singapore, the company will soon add a third frequency to meet the increase in air traffic between India and the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations and the Gulf) regions.

On the occasion of Black Friday on Friday 23 November 2018, Aer Lingus is launching its « Black Flyday » promotional offer on its transatlantic routes. The Irish national airline offers a €100 discount on flights from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to the West Coast of the United States and a €50 discount on flights to the East and Canada.
In total, 13 destinations on Aer Lingus’ transatlantic network benefit from the promotion: Los Angeles, Seattle and San Francisco for the West Coast; Boston, Chicago, Hartford, New York-JFK, Newark, Miami, Orlando, Philadelphia, Toronto and Washington DC for the East Coast and Canada. The « Black Flyday » offer is valid from now on, for bookings made on the www.aerlingus.com website before 28 November 2018 at midnight, for departures between 8 January and 22 March 2019.

easyJet announced that the company Emirates will join its unique « Worldwide by easyJet » connection network in the coming months.
EasyJet customers will be able to use the orange network to reach London Gatwick in order to benefit from Emirates’ international network to Dubai in the first instance. The objective is to expand the number of destinations in the future.
Worldwide by easyJet continues to grow with 5,000 airports and unique destinations offered by its various partners.

From 01 December 2018 for sales and 01 January 2019 for the travel period, Ukraine International Airlines extends the Premium Economy class to medium-haul and domestic flights. UIA will therefore offer 3 classes on all its flights: Economy Class, Premium Economy Class and Business Class.

Qantas Airways, the Australian national airline, is reorganizing its network in the Northern Territory, with the introduction of two new routes to Uluru/Ayers Rock and frequency or capacity adjustments on some of its routes. These changes will take effect from 31 March 2019, the effective date of the start of the IATA 2019 summer season. Qantas is also extending its code share agreements to the South American network of LATAM, a member of oneworld.
Qantas announces two new routes between Adelaide (ADL) and Ayers Rock (AYQ) as well as between Darwin (DRW) and Ayers Rock (AYQ), each operated twice weekly, in the B737-800 configured with 12 seats in Business Class and 162 seats in Economy Class.
