Air Canada will increase its capacity on regional routes in Western Canada in the spring. To do so, it will deploy more of Bombardier’s state-of-the-art Q400 NextGen aircraft. These changes are part of a transformation of Air Canada Express that will provide better service to passengers.
» Next summer, Air Canada will strategically improve the flight experience and increase capacity on major regional routes in Western Canada. Ultra-quiet, comfortable, energy-efficient and faster, the Q400 will be well received by our customers and has the advantage of being larger than the regional aircraft it replaces. We are pleased to deploy it in more communities across Western Canada as we strengthen our regional network to optimize all important connections between our vast regional and global markets, » said Mark Galardo, Vice President – Network Planning, Air Canada.
The diversity and versatility of our fleet also allows us to add flights to our Vancouver-Anchorage route. We are also increasing capacity on our Calgary-Winnipeg route with larger Airbus aircraft to meet demand. »
Air Canada Express flights operated by Jazz Aviation L.P. are planned to provide convenient point-to-point travel and easy connections to Vancouver and Calgary for Air Canada’s extensive domestic, transborder and international network.
As a reminder, the seasonal direct line between Paris and Vancouver will be extended from June 8, 2019 to October 14, 2019. AC807 flights will depart from Terminal 2 at Roissy-CDG at 9:55 am 4 times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays to land in Vancouver at 10:50 am local time. Return flights AC806 Vancouver-Paris will take off at 13:30 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and land at CDG at 8:15 the next morning.
