A new Louis Vuitton hotel in Bangkok

To celebrate the 130th anniversary of its iconic monogram pattern, the luxury fashion brand opened a hotel-inspired pop-up store today, Wednesday (February 11), in the historic Yaowarat district, best known as the vibrant Chinatown of the Thai capital and the bustling Song Wat Street.

Created by Georges Vuitton in 1896 as a tribute to his father Louis, this pattern has evolved from a symbol of exceptional travel to one of the most recognizable emblems of luxury in the world.

As part of its year-long celebrations, Louis Vuitton has launched a series of pop-up shops worldwide inspired by the hospitality industry, a nod to the brand’s enduring association with travel.

Bangkok is the fourth city—and the only one in Southeast Asia—to host this global concept, following Seoul, New York, and Shanghai.
