Real estate developer Miral announced yesterday that Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi was going to open its doors to the public on July 25th. The theme park entirely dedicated to the cinematic world of Warner Bros. will offer six immersive universes, including the cities of Metropolis and Gotham City from DC Comics.
The 153,000 m² park will bring together for the first time under one roof some of the world’s most emblematic characters and franchises. To create a unique visitor experience, Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi has 29 state-of-the-art rides, interactive family attractions, unique live shows and a rich variety of restaurants and shops.
The entrance will be through the first zone, Warner Bros. Plaza, which pays tribute to the golden age of Hollywood cinema with its Art-Déco architecture.
In the world dedicated to Metropolis, visitors will be able to discover an urban landscape welcoming different attractions featuring the heroes of the Justice League, such as Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Cyborg or Aquaman. The famous Daily Planet, Superman’s flagship newspaper, will be housed there.
In the dark streets of Gotham City, visitors can immerse themselves in Batman’s universe alongside his legendary enemies, such as the Joker, Harley Quinn or Mystery Man. Four attractions will allow fans to discover the BatCave or to board a BatWing.
The Cartoon Junction, Bedrock and Dynamite Gulch areas, inspired by the Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera cartoons, will offer visitors a dive into their childhood memories alongside characters such as Bugs Bunny, Tom & Jerry, Scooby-Doo and Vil Coyote and the Flintstone Family.
Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi will complement the entertainment and leisure offerings of Yas Island, which already includes iconic attractions such as Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, Yas Marina Circuit (where the annual Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix is held), Yas Mall, as well as a wide variety of other internationally renowned entertainment venues, restaurants and hotels.
