Tourism in Türkiye : already more than 50 million visitors

Turkey, the world’s fourth-largest source market for tourism according to UN Tourism’s 2024 data, announced its tourism sector’s results for the first nine months of the year at a press conference in Istanbul. The country recorded strong growth in both visitor numbers and tourism revenue.
Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, announced that the country welcomed 50 million international visitors during the first nine months of 2025.
Turkey recorded growth of 1.6% during this period.
Furthermore, tourism revenue reached US$50 billion, a 5.7% increase compared to the previous year.
These 50 million international visitors stayed an average of 10.3 nights and spent approximately US$103 per person per night during the first nine months of 2025, representing a 7% increase compared to the previous year.
During the first nine months of the year, Turkey’s three main source markets for visitors were the Russian Federation (5.53 million), Germany (5.22 million), and the United Kingdom (3.54 million).
