Major projects coming in 2026

The year 2026 is shaping up to be a historic turning point for the world of golf, driven by colossal investments and an unprecedented fusion of tradition and cutting-edge technology. The most anticipated event is undoubtedly the 2026 Ryder Cup, which will be held at the magnificent Adare Manor estate in Ireland.

Hundreds of millions of euros have been invested in this event to transform the historic manor into the most immersive spectator experience ever, including luxury temporary infrastructure and AI-powered crowd management.

Meanwhile, the landscape of prestigious golf courses continues to be reshaped under the impetus of Saudi Arabia with the opening of architectural gems as part of the NEOM project, notably the Sindalah Island course, which pushes the boundaries of sustainability in an arid environment and is part of LIV Golf’s overall strategy to establish the sport permanently in the Middle East.

In the United States, 2026 also marks the full maturity of TGL (Tomorrow’s Golf League), launched by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. This technological league, played in futuristic arenas in Palm Beach, is revolutionizing prime-time golf viewing with giant simulators and motorized greens, capturing a younger, more urban audience.

On the institutional front, this year marks the final consolidation of the agreement between the PGA Tour, the DP World Tour, and the PIF, a merger project that finally harmonizes the global calendar and unlocks record prize money for Signature tournaments.

Finally, the Cabot Group’s international expansion, with the completion of major projects in St. Lucia and new properties in Scotland, is redefining the high-end golf experience by focusing on minimalist design that enhances the rugged coastal landscapes.

This synergy between major legendary events, high-tech infrastructure and renewed stability between circuits makes 2026 the year when golf definitively shifts into a global and spectacular era.
