MSC Cruises celebrated a key milestone this weekend by welcoming its 20-millionth passenger aboard the Miami-based MSC Seaside, a testament to the company’s expansion, which began operating cruise ships in 2003 and quickly established itself as a major player in the industry.
Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Croisières, said: » This 20-millionth passenger is a real turning point in the history of MSC Croisières, and illustrates our efforts to develop a global brand that now serves guests of more than 170 nationalities, from all five continents.
We plan to triple our capacity by 2027, and we will continue to raise the bar higher and higher on board and ashore, offering our guests a truly unique experience every time they cruise with us. The MSC Seaside is a perfect example: it is one of the most innovative ships at sea in terms of design and experience on board. It is also equipped with the latest and most innovative environmental technology at sea. »
