Hyatt announces the opening of the Andaz Lisbon

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has reached a historic milestone in its European expansion strategy with the opening of the Andaz Lisbon, marking the long-awaited arrival of its relaxed luxury brand in Portugal.

Ideally nestled in the iconic Baixa district, the hotel is anchored in the vibrant heart of Lisbon’s architectural heritage, offering guests an immediate immersion in a blend of tradition and modernity.

Overlooking the majestic Praça do Comércio and the sparkling banks of the Tagus River, the hotel enjoys a prime location just steps from the charming boutiques and lively nightlife that the capital is renowned for.

For Amar Lalvani, President of Hyatt’s Lifestyle division, this opening is the culmination of a creative vision aimed at reflecting Lisbon’s unique soul through bold design and close collaborations with local artisans.

By focusing on a guest experience deeply rooted in the neighborhood’s identity, the Andaz Lisbon not only offers upscale accommodations but also invites guests to rediscover the city authentically, thus reinforcing Hyatt’s position in the segment of luxury hotels with strong personalities.

This new flagship hotel with 170 rooms and suites will become the rallying point for an international clientele seeking creativity and individuality, within one of the most dynamic tourist markets in southern Europe in 2026.
