Barceló Hotel Group expands into Malaysia with a new hotel in Kuala Lumpur

The hotel group will operate a new iconic hotel located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, developed in partnership with Richmond Asia Group.
Barceló Hotel Group, the second-largest hotel group in Spain and one of the 32 largest worldwide, is entering Malaysia with the management of the Richmond Estelar, a luxury hotel located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle, following an agreement with Richmond Asia Group.
With over 90 years of expertise and a network of more than 300 properties in 30 countries, Barceló Hotel Group is strengthening its presence in Asia.
The group brings its renowned hospitality expertise and international reach to the region.
It also offers innovative loyalty programs, such as My Barceló, which has more than 4 million members worldwide.
In Asia, the group is already established in seven countries: the Maldives, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Oman.
