Six new hotels in Myanmar for Centara Hotels

Centara Hotels & Resorts has just signed a partnership with KMA Hotels and announces the opening of six new hotels in Myanmar
Centara Hotels & Resorts, Thailand’s leading hotel operator, and KMA Hotels Group, a subsidiary of Kaung Myanmar Aung (KMA) Group, announced the signing of an agreement to develop and renovate 6 hotels located in some of Myanmar’s most popular tourist destinations and operated under the Centara and Centara Boutique Collection brands.
With this project, 3 properties of the KMA Hotels group located in Inle, Naypyitawet and Taungoo will be completely renovated before their reopening with the Centara Paradise Inle Lake Resort & Spa which will open in the 4th quarter of 2019. 3 new hotels will also be built in Bagan and Than Daung: Centara Bagan River View Resort & Spa, Kaytumadi Dynasty Bagan Resort, Centara Boutique Collection and Shwe Than Daung Resort, Centara Boutique Collection.
The agreement marks Centara Hotels & Resorts’ entry into one of the world’s most dynamic tourism markets and allows the company to establish a major presence in Myanmar.
Myanmar is the second largest country in South-East Asia and has one of the most dynamic economies in the region. The country’s tourism sector is well positioned with a period of sustained growth; the country’s projected tourism growth rate is 8.5 % per year until 2025, placing Myanmar at the top of the world’s most dynamic tourism markets.
