The upcoming visit of former US President Barack Obama will further increase the fame of this beautiful Spanish city. You will be surprised to know why he came to Seville…
Seville, to see and review !
The city is known for its prestigious past. Seville has a rich artistic heritage, making it one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. Its monuments, the many artists who were born or worked there, its glorious history, its traditional festivals, but also its climate, contribute to its fame.
You can discover remarkable examples of Moorish architecture, such as the Alcazar Palace and the Giralda Minaret, as well as its Gothic cathedral, Christopher Columbus’ burial place.
Barak Obama will talk about tourism…
Former U.S. President Barack Obama is scheduled to speak at the World Travel & Tourism Council World Congress (WTTC) in Seville from April 2 to 4. He will be the keynote speaker at the conference on the theme of « Changemakers » to celebrate the people and ideas that will change the future of the sector.
WTTC President and CEO Gloria Guevara said: » During his tenure, he embodied the notion that travel and tourism are a factor for economic growth and job creation « .
He keeps his promise to Seville
According to information released on his visit, it is reported that Barak Obama is paying a debt with the capital of Seville. He was supposed to come to the city in July 2016. Unfortunately, this visit was cancelled when five police officers were killed in Dallas.
This is not the first time Barack Obama has visited Spain, as he has already visited Madrid twice. For his part, his wife and daughter visited the Costa del Sol and Granada in 2010. The former First Lady also stayed on Mallorca in 2017.
These visits have a significant impact on the destination because of the wide media coverage they generate. A good deal for Spain, whose tourism continues to grow.
